Tested adhesives and sealants for sustainable construction

10 COSMO® adhesives and sealants have been tested and listed by the Sentinel Holding Institute. The product passes support planners, architects and processors in reliably selecting suitable materials for sustainable construction projects.

Sustainable construction is becoming increasingly important in the planning and implementation of building projects. In addition to energy efficiency, resource conservation and durable building structures, the selection of suitable construction products also plays an important role. Adhesives and sealants in particular are increasingly required to meet the requirements of various building environmental standards and to be documented accordingly.

To provide greater transparency and security in this area, we have had a total of 10 COSMO® adhesives and sealants tested and listed by the Sentinel Holding Institute. These include hybrid and PU adhesives, among others, which are used in a wide range of practical applications – for example for assembly, sealing or as high-performance structural adhesives.

Transparent documentation through the product pass

The tested COSMO® adhesives and sealants were assessed with regard to their suitability for several relevant building environmental standards. The product pass considers requirements from QNG, DGNB New Construction, BNB-BN New Construction, EU Taxonomy, BREEAM DE New Construction and LEED v4.1, among others. Particular focus is placed on topics such as VOC emissions, formaldehyde, SVOC/TVOC, hazardous substances, biocides, chlorinated paraffins, SVHC and other emission- and pollutant-related criteria.

The results are documented in a product pass for each product. This serves as transparent proof and provides planners, architects, processors and building owners with clear guidance when selecting suitable materials for sustainable construction projects.

By being listed in the Sentinel Holding Institute database, the tested COSMO® adhesives and sealants contribute to greater transparency in sustainable construction. At the same time, the product passes simplify documentation for corresponding construction projects and support all project participants in identifying suitable adhesives and sealants more quickly and reliably.
