Low-emission adhesives of Weiss

EMICODE®- licensed products

The EMICODE® is an accredited standard for healthy living building products and is furthermore a quality label in proof of low VOC-emissions from adhesives among other things. Building products having the EMICODE® label are modern, solvent-free and low-emission building products.

The Association for the Control of Emissions in Products for Flooring Installation, Adhesives and Building Materials e.V. (GEV) is responsible for this distinction. The GEV was founded in 1997 by leading companies of the German association for adhesive industry, whereof Weiss is a member, too.

With the EMICODE® the GEV offers consumers, planners, architects and professional craftsmen guidance for the selection of flooring installation products, adhesives and building materials - cross-company and competitively neutral for the best possible protection of consumers and environment.

EMICODE® is subdivided in three categories, each of them stating the emission behaviour of the licensed product.

• EMICODE® EC 1^PLUS, the exclusive class („very low emission ^PLUS“)
• EMICODE® EC 1 is equivalent of „very low emission“
• EMICODE® EC 2 is equivalent of „low emission“

Licensed Weiss-products

Many Weiss-adhesive systems have already been awarded with the Premium class EMICODE® EC 1^PLUS and further products will be successively added.
