Burglary protection/impact resistant composite panels

In terms of their protective properties impact resistant sandwich panels must be rated higher than, for instance, impact resistant glass constructions. DIN EN 356 defines the requirements and testing procedures for impact resistant glass systems designed to retard the impact of force on objects and/or persons in protected areas during a limited interval. Impact resistant sandwich panels should be mounted into frames or constructions which, themselves, are suited to offer adequate resistance against attacks.

Basically the panels are classified according to P6B, P7B and P8B. For all three classifications the ift (Institut für Fenstertechnik) has provided test certificates for the respective sandwich panels.
